The Girls' Dance Photos

This is Emma's 2012 Idaho Ballroom Academy dance picture.  They danced to "Another One Bites The Dust" in this particular costume.

This is Lauren's dance picture.  They danced to "Greased Lightning" and "Burn, Baby, Burn" in this little outfit.  It may look familiar, because Emma danced the same two dances and costume when she was a 5th grader.

It's a BOY!!!

Emma, Lauren and I went to Idaho Falls for a "gender check" ultrasound at a women's clinic down there.  I just had to pay $20 for them to see what we're having.  It took longer than expected, but after a lot of jiggling my stomach, the tech finally spotted the little boy thing.  Landon was at work, so we went to JC Penney and bought several boy outfits, then drove to Kennedy to tell Landon the news in person.  We laid the outfits out on the table in the back of the room, and when he finally got out of a long meeting, he came in the room and put two and two together.  His face lit up and he couldn't seem to believe it.  We wanted this little boy since before we even got pregnant, so to have it confirmed seemed too good to be true.  The girls are super excited, and we're finally ready to start the "nesting and gathering" process.  I'm so grateful to have my girls to share the excitement with.  It's really a completely different experience this time around and we're having a lot of fun.
This shows the baby with his knees touching his nose!  His legs were tight together so we couldn't see his junk.
The turtle!
Another turtle shot.  If that's a girl, there's something very wrong with it.

Just a cute profile shot with his little hand up in the air.

This is a video of Emma showing off the cute little outfits we bought at JC Penney about 10 minutes after we found out what we were having.  It was fun!!!

Dinner Woes

I've had to turn into a regular wife since Landon has been working until 8:00 p.m. every night.  He isn't around to help or make dinner for us anymore, so the chore has fallen to me every single night.  I hate it, by the way.  Nothing ever sounds good to eat and Landon won't eat certain types of foods that the rest of us will eat, so it's a pain in the butt every single day.  I made this delightful dinner the other night and everyone actually loved it.  It is just a baguette spread with chive and onion cream cheese topped with sliced roast beef and provolone cheese, toasted under the broiler, then tomato and avocado added on top.  The pasta salad is in our cookbook, called "smoked mozzarella penne salad."  It was such a good meal!  Not traditional, but all of us liked it and that's all that matters.

Visit From Most of The LeFevre's!

Nana, Lorina, Christina, and Lincoln came to visit us last weekend.  The main purpose was to see Emma and Lauren's last IBA ballroom dance performance, but we crammed as much fun into the weekend as we could.  Landon actually took some time off from Driver's Ed, so we loved getting to see and spend time with our Dad as well as the visiting LeFevres.  After school on Friday, we all headed to Idaho Falls, ate a delicious dinner at Texas Roadhouse then went shopping at JC Penney for some cute summer outfits.  Saturday Nana and the crew went to Bear World, Landon did some drives, and the girls and I went to the high school auditorium for a 12 hour day between dress rehearsal and 2 performances.  They did a great job, but I didn't take any pictures!  Saturday night Landon cooked some Papa Murphy's pizzas, Christina made a salad and we ate dinner together at our house.  The girls and Landon went swimming at the hotel pool, and I tried to get the swelling to go down in my ankles and feet from such a long day.  Sunday we went to Yellowstone and had a fun time sightseeing, and enjoying a short hike around some mudpots and geysers.  Monday after Lorina's dialysis, everyone hit the road back to Vegas.  It was so nice to see everyone, and re-connect with Lincoln, who probably didn't remember us too much since we hadn't seen him in about 2 years.
We were so excited to spend time with Lincoln!!

We went to Texas Roadhouse Friday night for steak and ribs.  Emma took this picture and I have to say it's about as unflattering as it gets (of Landon and me).  Either way, the food was awesome!!!

All three LeFevre cousins ordered steak.  We're a steak-loving family, for sure.

Emma was so excited about her steak that she wanted me to take a picture of her.

We went to Yellowstone on Sunday.  Lincoln rode in the back of the truck with Lauren, while Emma rode with Nana, Lorina and Christina.  She was way more comfortable with the extra leg room, and we got to entertain and be entertained by Lincoln.  This is a picture of Lincoln holding his "bug juice," which is just a kids drink we bought at a gas station.  He says he's never had it before, which surprised us.  The girls have gotten Bug Juice every time we've ever been on a trip and gotten drinks at a gas station.  Anyway, Lincoln was really intrigued by the name and Landon told him the green juice came from grasshopper butts.  Lincoln seemed to think that was pretty hilarious.

Lauren had bought some sour candy stuff that turns your tongue blue.  Lincoln told me to take a picture of her blue tongue, so I did.

Lincoln thought it was really funny that he had some chocolate stuck in his teeth, so he asked me to take a picture of it.

We saw lots of buffalo and elk, and that's about it.  We only went to Old Faithful, which explains why, but we did have several opportunities to look at the buffalo up close.

We arrived at Old Faithful with only a few minutes to wait to see it go off.  It couldn't have been better timed.

We've seen this thing so many times that Landon's face shows how excited he was to see it again.

At the new Old Faithful visitor center Lincoln and Lauren played around in the kids room.  We weren't there long before Lincoln had to go number 2, and since all the adults were suspiciously absent, I took him to the bathroom.  He kept yelling at me to "get out!" but I just turned and looked at the wall until I was summoned for butt-wiping duty.  I guess it was a bonding moment for us.

This is a video of Lincoln playing the Wii game, "Active Life Explorer," which is pretty intense.  You have to be very active to play.  Lincoln would play for hours at a time and sweat buckets.  It was pretty fun for the rest of the sedentary bunch to watch.
