Also in Jackson, we posed in front of the elk antler arch, made souvenir pennies, and bought candy at the Yippi I O candy store.

After we finished with Jackson, we drove to the Tetons and had a picnic by String Lake-in between Jenny and Leigh lakes. Unfortunately, we didn't anticipate the mosquitoes! Our legs were attacked and we had the fastest picnic on record. The next morning, Emma counted 20 bites on her legs. Hopefully we won't get West Nile.We stopped in Victor on the way home for ice cream and in spite of the mosquitoes, we had a fun day.
Tuesday was Christina's birthday, so we got together for a little party that night. We ordered lots of Thai food from the Thai restaurant on Main Street. It was good! The girls each made Christina little presents--Emma made a hand sewn decorative pillow, and Lauren used her bendaroos and made a cute flower.
Yesterday, Lauren went to a cookie-making class for 4-H, so the rest of us went to Rigby to get a burger at Tam's. Then we drove back to Rexburg to shop at Artco for paper products. Right near Artco, we bought some apricots! Last year we bought delicious peaches from a farmer who sells fruit out of the back of his pick up. Well, he's back this year. Nana bought 42 pounds of apricots and we spent some time last night pitting them so we can make jam when we get back from our Washington trip.
We've been running errands and digging out camping equipment so we can have fun camping at Cape Lookout and visiting family in Washington. We have an active "To Do" list, a "To Buy" list and a "To Pack" list. As soon as we cross something off, we think of a few more things to add. Our plan is to leave at 6:00am tomorrow morning. I hope to be able to post a couple blog posts from my mom's house, since we won't be home until the 20th of July.
