Visit from The Lukes!

John, Jane, Jessica, Samantha, Ashley and Rhett came to see us last weekend! They went on a family vacation to Yellowstone and stopped to see us on the way back. Of course we ate lots of good food, the kids played non-stop and we did a lot of laughing.

Emma made these little trinket boxes for the twins before they arrived (Lauren also made one for Ashley).After a delicious dinner of homemade Cafe Rio pork tacos/taco salads, Ashley and Jessica spent Saturday night at our house, while everyone else spent the night at the AmericInn. We took the kids over to the hotel for swimming Saturday night before the sleepover.We made this sausage/biscuit/egg casserole for breakfast Sunday morning. The recipe isn't in our cookbook, but we're definitely adding it. It was tasty!The kids (OK, Ashley and Lauren) begged and begged to go to the clubhouse, but none of the adults wanted to accompany them so we kept saying no. Finally, they wore us down and we told them to go down there by themselves and we'd be there in a few minutes. Turned out to be a decision we should have made much earlier! It was a Sunday, so no one else was there and they had a lot of fun together...away from our house! We'll have to remember that for next time. Also...all five girls crimped their hair Sunday morning. Sounds like the Lukes will be buying a crimper soon.
