Despite the fact that Labor Day weekend started out like this...

We had fun anyway. Kristen came Friday night with Oliviana (Nase had an opportunity to make some extra money doing a "transport"...AKA: pick up an unsuspecting, rebellious teenager and transport him/her to a wilderness survival boot camp) and we did some fun stuff together. We rented a canoe and some river tubes from the ORC on campus and tried out a new spot to float up in Ashton. It was on the Warm River, it took 2 hours, and there were little rapids all along the way. It was a lot more "adventurous," faster, a little warmer, and very little paddling required (by those of us in tubes, anyway).

Oliviana started out in the canoe with Landon and Lauren, but started freaking out, screaming and wanting her mom within about 2 minutes. The rest of the journey she sat on Kristen's lap (and mine for a while) in her tube, while Landon and Lauren navigated the river in the canoe.

Sunday we had a wienie roast at Beaver Dick park and let the kids catch minnows off the dock. We attempted to canoe and pull the girls in their tubes behind the canoe, but going upstream while pulling the girls was way too hard for us. We ended up just tying their tubes to the dock and letting them float around.

Kristen and Oliviana left Monday morning, then we went and watched Zookeeper. Another fun weekend for the LeFevre family!
