We decided to take the inevitable trip north to Seaside on our first full day at the coast. David, Sara, Landon and I did not want to drive up there, but we do it for the kids. As it turned out, it was a nightmare for Levi, Landon and me. Levi had already spent 3 days driving and was not in the mood to take a scenic drive up the coast. He cried A LOT, which makes everyone miserable. Besides for the screaming, I guess it was an OK experience.
Emma and Lauren rode with David's family, Kristen, Manase and Oliviana drove in our car and Mom and Dad drove in their car. We did the bumper cars, the tilt-a-whirl, bought taffy at The Candyman's, spent some foggy, windy time on the actual beach, and walked around the shops for a little while. Eventually we drove back south to Cannon Beach for lunch at Mo's, where we had some yummy fish and chips and clam chowder. Levi spilled Landon's water all over and made a huge mess with saltine crackers. We made it back to the house for some quiet time, while the Kimballs flew their fancy kite on the beach at Oceanside.
