Levi Turns One!

Levi turned one on September 12th.  It's amazing how completely he has changed from birth until now.  We celebrated by playing with his new toys and watching him eat his cake.  It was surprising that he only got one birthday card (thanks, Grammy)!  I had a whole stack for each of the girls when they turned one, but I guess the third kid is less novel.  Lucky for Levi that he has 2 adoring sisters who dote on him, which the girls never had.  I guess it all evens out.  Levi is such a sweet little boy and such an incredible blessing to our lives.  We're so grateful for how healthy, smart, loving and fun he is.  He  makes our family even happier than it was before.
On Sunday after his birthday, Kristen, Manase and Oliviana brought several toys and outfits for Levi so we could continue to celebrate.  They gave him a big wooden puzzle, a Fisher-price farm, a rocking chair, a V-tech book that he loves, and other odds and ends.  He ended up with lots of new fun toys to play with.
For his birthday, Levi got several bigger toys that he will be able to play with during the long winter months when he can't play outside.  He got this fun wooden bead box toy that he discovered he loves when we spend time at the library.

And this fun rocking horse.  He also got a slide, big lego-type blocks, a yellow tunnel he can crawl through, and a wooden puzzle.

He was super excited and wanted to dig immediately into the cake Grammy bought him, but we all wanted a piece first.
