Harvesting on Harvest Break
One of Landon's co-workers asked us to water his garden while he went on vacation for Harvest Break. He told us to take all the vegetables we wanted, since he and his family had already harvested all they wanted. We're expecting snow and freezing temperatures this weekend, so we went over to the garden and picked as much as we could. We were able to get onions, green peppers, squash, corn, tomatoes and plums. If all goes as planned, expect to receive green tomato salsa and/or plum jam for Christmas this year.
Just think of all the fried green tomatoes that you could make! I tasted them once and they were the best thing in the world--second only to any form of cheese.

Oh my heck! That looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. Though why would he have you water the garden if he's done with it all?
