Trip to Utah

October 6th through the 15th is Potato Harvest Break for Landon and the girls. Friday after school, we went down to Utah to see Landon's family who had planned to come up from Las Vegas to meet us for the weekend. My mom had made plans to visit my sister Kristen and her family during some of that same time, so we were able to see Grammy a few days while were were down there too. The Idaho LeFevres stayed at Kristen's house while the Las Vegas LeFevres (and Lauren) stayed at the Best Western in Lehi. We tried to pack as much into the short time we had together as possible, as is evident from the pictures I've posted. I'm hoping Landon will put together a fun little slideshow with the rest of the pictures tomorrrow and I'll post it when he's done. It was so much fun to see everybody, but we missed Stacy, who had to work. Here's a quick rundown of who you'll see in the pictures: Oliviana (Kristen and Manase's baby girl), Lorina and Christina (Landon's sisters), Nana (Landon's mom), Justin (Landons' brother) and Lincoln (Justin and Stacy's baby boy).
After the Las Vegas LeFevres went back home, we spent a couple of days with our friends, the Lukes, who live in Spanish Fork. I didn't get any pictures, but we had a blast with them. Jane always takes good care of us and the kids go wild and play hard. Watch for a posting soon with a picture of the beautiful quilt Jane made for me.

This is Saturday morning after Oliviana climbed into bed with Landon and Lauren. We told her to pretend to be asleep for the picture.

This is Sunday night. Oliviana and Emma were roughhousing and Emma ended up being ridden like a horse.

Saturday morning we went to watch Manase play Rugby, but unfortunately the tournament was cancelled due to rain. This is me sitting in the back of the truck with Oliviana waiting for all the Tongan Rugby players to show up. Oliviana was listening to the girls' CD player.
Saturday afternoon after the Las Vegas LeFevres checked in at their hotel, all of us went to a place called Jump On It in Pleasant Grove. It's a trampoline place for kids. Oliviana and Lincoln were both fearless and jumped like pros. Emma and Lauren liked helping the babies jump and steer clear of big kids who might jump on them.

Landon and the girls at the Hogle Zoo.

Sunday we went to IKEA for free breakfast for some (they serve a free bacon and eggs breakfast on Sundays between 10:30 and 11:30) and meatballs and potatoes for others. After some fun shopping at IKEA, we headed to the Hogle Zoo. As you can see, the kids rode the carousel and we all rode the train. Good times. After the zoo, we went to the Red Iguana for lunch. This place is located just west of I-15 on North Temple. It was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network, so Landon looked it up before we got to Salt Lake so we could try it out. In spite of a wait time of over an hour, I think we unanimously agreed that the food was incredible. 18 thumbs up.
On Monday we drove up Provo Canyon and stopped at Bridal Veil Falls to see the view. We continued the drive up the canyon, past Heber City and around to Park City. We stopped at the Outlet Mall for some good quality shopping, then went to Salt Lake for lunch.

The happy couple at Bridal Veil Falls.

We ate lunch at the Lion House near Temple Square. After lunch, we let Lincoln run around on the plaza between the Church office building and the Lion House and took some pictures.

That is a cute picture of you and Landon! Oliviana sure had a good time having you guys here, she keeps saying all of your names. Like Emma and Lauren, when she wants to play, and Erin and Landon when she plays w your toys. Today I game Nase the pop rocks that Landon bought and she kept asking for some and yelling at Nase that they were Landons!

Those are some fun pictures. I guess I haven't seen any of Lorina or Christina since I went to Vegas a long time ago. How are they doing?
